The IFSI (Nursing Academy)
Our educational role
The association Œuvre du Perpétuel Secours, which previously managed the hôpital Franco-Britannique, has a Nursing Training Institute (I.F.S.I. – Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers), a higher education institution partner of the hôpital Franco-Britannique.

The I.F.S.I.’s mission:
- preparatory classes for the National Nursing Diploma (3 years of training, 90 students per year, courses start in September).
- preparatory classes for the National Care-assistant Diploma (10 months of training, 60 students per year, courses start in January)
- preparatory classes for the National Child-care Assistant Diploma (10 months of training, 45 students per year, courses start in September)
As well as:
- preparation for the nursing school entrance exam (one class of 25 students per year, October to May)
- preparation for the care-assistant school entrance exam (one class of 15 to 20 students per year, April to October)
- preparation for the child-care assistant school entrance exam (one class of 10 to 15 students per year, November to May)
Professional training mission
The IFSI also provides:
- preparation for the National Nursing Diploma for Doctors qualified outside of the European Union (one class of 15 student per year, November to April)
- professional training:
- Validation of Professional Experience for care-workers and child-care assistants.
- First Aid Training (AFGSU) certification.
Additional information
To complete these missions, the has its own dedicated IFSI staff:
- a director: Danielle BENALI
- a training staff of eighteen
- three secretaries
- a documentarist
The academy has an average annual total of around 400 active students.
