The Hôpital Franco-Britannique proposes a number of specialist gynaecology consultations.

The Hôpital Franco-Britannique gynaecology department staff is able to treat all female uro-gynaecological conditions using the latest and most widely respected techniques.

Gynaecological surgery

Surgery can involve the use of laparotomy, laparoscopy or hysteroscopy techniques
to treat both benign and malign functional or organic pathologies,
focussing on the uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, mammary pathologies and certain urological pathologies.

The 24 hour availability of the service means that we can deal with most of the common gynaecological emergencies that may arise as well as providing post-operative treatment for our patients.

Surgical interventions can be conducted on an out-patient basis (the ward has 4 beds for this) or on a normal hospitalisation basis depending on the intervention.

Functional gynaecological surgery:

• Cervical conditions (colposcopy, dysplasia treatment)

Pelvic floor muscle / pelviperineology:

• Urinary incontinence during effort
• Prolapse

Treatment possible via hysteroscopy, vaginal access, coeliscopy or laparotomy (“open” surgery) depending on the diagnostic.
