Endocrine and oncological abdominal surgery

The Unit has 24 standard hospitalisation beds and 15 out-patient surgery beds.

The Unit treats 3 main categories of pathologies:

Oncological surgery

• Cancer of the colon and rectum
• Cancer of the liver and liver metastases
• Cancer of the pancreas
• Stomach cancer

Endocrine surgery

• Thyroid gland
• Para-thyroid glands
• Adrenal gland

General digestive tract pathologies

• Gall bladder; inguinal, umbilical white line and post-operative hernias
• Diverticulosis of the colon
• Genital or rectal prolapse
• Hiatus hernia and gastroesophageal re-flux
• Proctology, haemorrhoidal disorders

Laparoscopic and out-patient alternatives are proposed systematically wherever possible.
