The Unit has 24 standard hospitalisation beds and 15 out-patient surgery beds.
The Unit treats 3 main categories of pathologies:
Oncological surgery
- Cancer of the colon and rectum
- Cancer of the liver and liver metastases
- Cancer of the pancreas
- Stomach cancer
Endocrine surgery
- Thyroid gland
- Para-thyroid glands
- Adrenal gland
General digestive tract pathologies
- Gall bladder; inguinal, umbilical white line and post-operative hernias
- Diverticulosis of the colon
- Genital or rectal prolapse
- Hiatus hernia and gastroesophageal re-flux
- Proctology, haemorrhoidal disorders
Laparoscopic and out-patient alternatives are proposed systematically wherever possible.
