Rheumatology is the speciality which diagnoses and treats acute or chronic conditions affecting the bones and joints:

• inflammatory rheumatism: poly-arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylolysis, psoriatic rheumatism (biotherapies)
• osteoporosis, fractured vertebrae
• spinal conditions: “back pain”, “lower-back pain”, sciatica
• cancer related bone conditions
• joint pain: osteoarthritis of the knee or hip, tendinitis
• complex regional pain syndrome
• fibromyalgia
• joint pains related to pregnancy

How?

Treatment is provided via external consultations, the out-patient and normal hospitalisation to the Internal and Specialised Medicine Unit.
