Cardiology at the HFB
This specialisation is provided in association with the Internal Medicine Ward in close collaboration with its technical-medical partners (Observation Ward, the Functional Testing Unit, Medical Imaging Service) fro standard hospitalisations and the Out-patient Consultations Platform. The HFB cardiology unit provides the following:
- Primary and secondary degree prevention of heart attacks and strokes by treating the principal risk factors;
- diagnosis and treatment of serious cardio-vascular conditions (heart failure, high blood pressure, valvular heart disease, artery disease) and certain acute and sub-acute conditions (arrhythmia, syncope, phlebitis, stroke).
