Haptonomy
There is a charge for these sessions, they are not covered by health insurance
The HFB proposes haptonomy sessions as part of its parental support policy.
Haptonomy can begin right at the start of pregnancy and ends at the end of the child’s first year.
These sessions are individual, with the father present, and are held at the maternity ward.
Through these sessions we share ways that parents can strengthen their affective bonds with their child, starting whilst the child is in the uterus as the brain first begins to mature. The aim is to encourage the child’s well-being and positive development.
During pregnancy, haptonomy allows the couple to begin to function as “parents”, even before giving birth.
It provides the father with a genuine role: he can give affection to both his wife and his child, supporting them throughout pregnancy and the act of giving birth.
After the child is born, haptomy serves to accompany the mother and father in their roles as educators, always with the aim of encouraging the child’s positive development and making the parent-child relationship as harmonious as possible.
Each session lasts about an hour.
We also accept couples that are not patients of our maternity ward.
