Coverage / Hospitalisation Fees
Hospitalisation Fees
Our private non-profit establishment applies sector I medical fees (those defined and authorised by the (French) Social Security service). They include hospitalisation fees, the fixed hospital accommodation fee and, where applicable, the additional charge for a private room.
Hospitalisation fees are fixed by the Public Authorities. They may vary depending on the specialisation concerned (medicine, surgery, maternity, neonatology, paediatrics). If the administrative formalities are completed in full, the cost of your hospitalisation may be settled in part or in full at the hospital by the organisation or organisations that provide your healthcare coverage.
Exceptional cases:
- If you are a European national, you must present your European Health Insurance Card or E112 form.
- If you have private healthcare coverage, you must present proof of this bearing the validity period and the types of treatment that are covered.
- If you have no healthcare coverage you must ask for an estimation of your hospital fees and pay them in advance.
- If you are have a long-term condition, 100% health coverage will only apply if the hospitalisation is in direct relation to this condition.
- If the person hospitalised is under 18 or a ‘protected’ adult, they must be accompanied during admission and departure by a legal representative or someone with proof of identity bearing documents legally empowering them to authorise diagnostic and therapeutic acts.
- For children, both parents must be present.
The fixed hospital fee covers the accommodation and catering. It is set on an annual basis by the Public Authorities.
Private rooms: You may be provided with a private room for personal reasons, subject to availability. In this case you will be required to pay an additional daily charge (we recommend that you ask your top-up insurance provider for details of the coverage they will provide you with for this).
